Determinants of Refugee Children’s Social Integration: Evidence from Lebanon, Turkey, and Australia

This paper investigates the determinants of refugee students’ social integration in Lebanon, Turkey, and Australia. seeks to understand how legal status corresponding length asylum shape children’s integration. The three host countries offer refugees different statuses ranging from short-term medium-term long-term Therefore, our data collection covers a sample 1298 middle school students all countries. Our probit regression analysis sheds light on importance micro-level factors related individual household characteristics meso-level shaping statistical dominance indicates that within-country differences are stronger than between-country differences, yet it does not rule out macro policies indirectly influence by provisions at micro meso levels.
